OUR STAFF

Our Pastor is Rev. Steward Smith who attended Foothill College, DeAnza College and San Jose Christian College in Northern California. He graduated from the San Jose Christian College in California where his major was Bible and Theology. He is married to his wife Ladena. They have three adult children.

Prior to locating to the Ft. Riley area to pastor the Milford Church, Stew and Ladena were active at the Los Gatos Christian Church in California for eleven years. As a pastor on that multiple pastor staff, Stew headed up Shepherding Ministries with 50 home fellowships meeting each month. Other ministries were Evangelism and Adult Ministries with a focus on the Careers for Christ group (a large singles ministry).

Stew and Ladena have now enjoyed thirteen years of pastoring in the Milford area. In the preaching sessions, we have just finished the book of Colossians and will be in Ephesians. Expository preaching is the best way to preach and teach the whole counsel of God in the continuing fellowship of the church.

As a further staff involvement, the church maintains a lay leadership of eight people who include two elders, two deacons, two deaconesses, one clerk and one treasurer. These people and others are willing and available to serve you and the church.

And, while we are talking about our staff, we need to mention a very important group of people who are giving their all for the Kingdom of God: our foreign missionaries. While most web sites post information that will be of service to those who visit the site, we give this information to you for your involvement. If you are so inclined as to pray for these people, we would all be grateful.
