 How to become a Christian

What we believe

The Apostles’ Creed

I Believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Covenant

We who are called of God to join in a church relation, do recognize our weakness and aptness to forsake the Lord. We, hereby, in humble dependence on Divine grace only, enter into solemn covenant with God and each other, to walk together as a church of Christ according to the teaching of the Scriptures.

(1) We especially covenant and agree to consecrate ourselves, our offerings, and all we have or hope for unto the Triune God. He is the supreme object of our love, and our chosen portion forever.

(2) We will give diligent heed to His word and ordinances, and maintain His worship in the church family.

(3) We will seek to glorify Him in all things.

(4) We will endeavor to live a holy and peaceable life in all godliness and sincerity.

(5) We will fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28, Verses 19 and 20.

(6) We will give to this church of our substance, labors and prayers.

(7) We will submit to spiritual discipline.

(8) We will labor for its peace, unity, edification and purity.
